Re: Phaser 6180 Thin line

Thank you so much for the information.  Ouch...$244.95 for a part that doesn't normally require replacement!  I bought this printer second hand from a local reputable computer repair business and when I asked him about his one year parts and labor he assumed it was a color cartridge, which is a consumable, and therefore not covered under warrenty.  Well...I emailed him today and pointed out that the fuser is not a consumable and should be covered under his warrenty guarantee.  I will have to wait and see. Again, thank you for your help.

Cheers

Cushdaddy

Can you help me to locate  the part number and replacement instructions for the fuser.  I do have a copy of the manual but can't find it.

Hi again, Cushdaddy!

Yes, it does sound like a fuser belt issue.

Re: Phaser 6180 Thin line

The line and the marks which are every 4" show up on every documents I print and is especially noticable the more color that is on the document.

Phaser 6180 Thin line

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

All documents have an approximately 1/16" line running parallel through the document with a mark every 4" along the line. Is it the fuser?
