Re: Phaser 6180MFP-D Scanning to a Windows 2003 DC

Hi, all depends what kind of login you are trying to do. To be connect to the most recent network tecnology like ipv6, smtp autentication, and others, this printer needs an adicional board (is an option when you purchase the printer). I beleave if you have this option you will have your problem solved. I can't tell now what is the name of the option but when I get to the office I post it here. Regards Rui

Phaser 6180MFP-D Scanning to a Windows 2003 DC

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

How do you setup the Phaser to scan to a Windows 2003 DC share?

I have followed the instructions in the manual.  I have a share.  I have a logon account which can read and write to the share.  But when I scan I get a 016-782 "loggin error"

I called support - they first told me it was the anti-virus.  YOU have got to be kidding was my reply.  I turned of the anti-virus and then tried again - same result.

Then I was told digital signature needed to be turned off --- WHAT?  I was given no links, no KB articles, told to search for the solution myself (I do have the case number).

To tell you the truth, I am very surprised at that the "Xerox support team" did not open up there files, and say, there is the white paper, here are the steps.   Not like I am working with a rogue network or anything.

So is there anything Xerox has which walk you through the solution?  Or am I on my own?
