PDF Scans will be editable if you are using Adobe Acrobat Pro or any editable pdf app on your PC. It's not down to the scanner\printer.
Thanks. I read that on the specs. I'm trying to get some real world confirmation that the scanned PDF can be edited in Acrobat.
The VersaLink B405 supports the following scan file formats.
I hope this helps.
We have a WorkCenter 4265 and have no issues scanning and then utilizing OCR and/or editing the documents via Adobe Acrobat.
I want to verify that the VersaLink B405 creates documents via scan that can be edited via Adobe Acrobat.
Seems obvious that it should work, but we were recently burned when we purchased a small all-in-one to augment our 4265 -- from a Xerox competitor -- and was shocked to learn that it creates PDF files that can be read, but cannot be edited or undergo OCR in Adobe Acrobat (ironic, since Adobe created the PDF!). That device was sent back and now we're considering the B405. But don't want to make the same mistake twice!
Thanks in advance to any who can confirm that the B405 creates standard, editable PDF's.
