Yes...I did that last week, and the guy I spoke to -- who sounded half-asleep and was using a headset that made him sound far away -- promised to call me back before the end of the day...did he call you, 'cause he sure didn't call me! This seems to be a pretty simple, binary YES/NO answer. But nobody at Xerox seems to know. And when I try to call "Technical Support" they want to charge me to provide me an answer.
I'm an existing customer with another Xerox device, and this lack of abilty to get pre-sales answers is precluding me from purchasing the new device. How do I get in touch with somebody who actually gives a rip?
Yes, this would be a presales question, please call our sales department at 1-800-ASK-XEROX.
Cheryl, thanks for the "college try" but perhaps you didn't understand my question. The answer you provided was about scanning to a shared folder on a COMPUTER. I specifically asked if the device will scan to NETWORK ATTACHED STORAGE. Nobody at Xerox seems willing to provide a YES or NO question. Also, this is a PRE-SALES QUESTION.
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the article on How to Set Up Scanning to a Shared Folder from the online support for your product. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100
We have a WorkCenter 4265 and have no issues scanning to a shared folder on our NAS.
I want to verify that there are no issues with the VersaLink B405 scanning to a shared folder on NAS.
Seems obvious that it should work, but we were recently burned when we purchased a small all-in-one to augment our 4265 -- from a Xerox competitor -- and was shocked to learn that while it can scan to a folder on a PC on the network, it is incapable of scanning to a shared folder on an NAS. That device was sent back and now we're considering the B405. But don't want to make the same mistake twice!
Thanks in advance to any who can confirm that the B405 can scan to a shared folder on NAS.
