Prevent Scanned Document From Opening Automtically

I am scanning to a folder but the doc is saved as a pdf file.

After I scan, it automatically opens the pdf file on the destination computer.

Thank you for using the Support Forum.  Are you scanning to a folder or to the application?  Please review the solution from the support page for your machine for scanning and make sure you are scanning to a folder this may make the difference.  If not then please contact support.

When I network scan a document from a 3220DN, the document automatcally opens at the destination pc.

How can I prevent the document from automatically opening? I only want to scan and save it as a file at the destination pc.
