XPSE version 8.0 is live on the Microsoft Store and users are being automatically updated. If you prefer, you can manually update from app the store. Xerox Smart Start Installer has also been updated for new installs.
One thing. You advertise yourselft in Hungary this way:
- YES, I DO, PLEASE.
- REALLY? I DON'T THINK SO.
in the RED box below:
You don’t need a master class in scanning. You just need an app that delivers smart capabilities without the complexity!. - REALLY, WELL THEN IT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE XPSE.
I think this is a serious issue lots of people facing with some time ago. I have newly purchased a Xerox machine B225 but I could not imagine when I upgraded from a 11-year-old inkjet of Epson I would bump into such problem knowing that Xerox is a famous brand (however in industrial area, for companies who can't afford such blame if there would be)...
but since almost 1 month, I am forced to come back to this forum if I got some hints from other users - no, not from Xerox, the company! how I can solve this issue which makes my MFP unusable for scanning.
You are referring to HP which may be Hewlett-Packard, right? What should I do with that? I did not buy that **bleep** company product but Xerox.
Go to Microsoft or ever contact with you IT department who prepared XPSE and fix this issue.
That's it. Your users who believed in YOU wants to use the product they paid for.
In 2024, an App like XPSE is a must!
Lastly, how I can be informed if issue will be fixed? Now I everyday open up the XPSE app from my desktop to see if there is my Printer pop-up...but no, since 1 month, I only see blank screen...:-(
You may know this fact:
In 2022, Xerox generated revenues of around 7.11 billion U.S. dollars worldwide. Xerox is an American corporation selling both print and digital document products as well as services.
Well...you could spend some money to fix this seriously...
Please refer tot he MS update below, if you're still having issue I suggest calling into the support department for assistance.
Here is the related KB article and links to download the tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5034510-microsoft-printer-metadata-troubleshooter-tool-d...
The expectation is that on computers that had Xerox V4 queues associated with the XPSE, and then were impacted by the HP metadata (this problem is described at https://learn.microsoft.com/windows/release-health/status-windows-11-23h2#3218msgdesc), running the tool will reestablish the identity and association of the Xerox V4 queue with the XPSE.
This tool does not address the problem of new V4 queue installs that are not associating with the XPSE. This is still an open problem with Microsoft and we’ll be sending you more information when it is available.
The Xerox Print and Scan app not showing any printers.
This happened after a Windows reinstallation. I have tried to reinstall the app and even reset the windows but with no luck. I only get a blank window.
Any other Scan application works without issues.
