As it would appear from the app reviews that *some* users are utilising it without issue, there clearly has to be a fix or a workaround, but from Xerox...? Nope.
Myself? Same issue with a C315.
We just aquire a AltaLink C8155 and has been crazy since day 1.
In a nutshell, Hardware works fine, but installation on Windows not so good.
First we install Xerox Print and Scan Experience, then select Add printer, and app redirect to URL for download Smart Start application.
Then we close Xerox Print and Scan Experence app and proced to execute Smart Start application with next settings:
1.- App found the printer, then we select the printer
2.- Install drivers with Print system type 4, PS and Scanner drivers WIA/TWAIN (also we try with system type 3 and PCL6 with no success)
3.- The printer was install and we can see it into Printer Windows list, we can send documents to print with no problem.
4.- We open the app Print and Scan Experience and no printer appears:
Threbefore, we can´t se the application for Scan.
Please help, we tried everything, also we call to our local Xerox tech and them self cant figure it out.
