Re: Printer always defaults to bypass tray, when it's not even open

Hi,

I tried calling and since I don't have a service contract with Xerox, they told me to post on here. I will never purchase from Xerox again. This printer is less than a year old, and you are going to charge me for phone tech support? This is also a replacement. Our original, brand-new Versalink stopped functioning after three weeks. A technician came three times and the issue persisited. Then we had to wait three months for the replacement to arrive, just to continue to have issues.

Re: Printer always defaults to bypass tray, when it's not even open

Hello Rob2,

Sounds like you have tried everything, and have the trays set correctly. So I would suggest calling into the support department: 1-800-821-2797

Thanks,

Printer always defaults to bypass tray, when it's not even open

Operating System: Not Specified

Hi,

Every time I make a copy on my Versalink c7025, I get an error code saying the Bypass Tray has no paper, even though I am not trying to use the Bypass Tray and it's not even open. I have to change the tray selection to Tray 1 every time, and it is getting very annoying. The system is in Autoselect for tray selection, but for whatever reason it always selects the Bypass Tray. The Bypass Tray is set at priority 3 in the account, whereas Tray 1 is set to 1. If I select Tray 1 for the paper selection before I copy, it works fine, but then later it just reverts back to Autoselect.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks in advance!
