I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious here but I've really tried everything I can think of. A friend asked me to set up his new VersaLink C7020 printer and everything appears to be working fine when I print or copy. It makes all the rights noises, lights up in the right places. But all that comes out is blank pages. This is the same no matter whether I print or scan and regardless of whether I use the feeder tray at the top or place a sheet on the glass. Printing test pages doesn't help. More strangely, when I look at the drums at the bottom, I can see that toner is coming through. It's as if the powder isn't sticking to the drums.
I can only think that there is some seal or cover or a piece of tape that I've failed to remove but I can't find it, and nor can two other people. Any advice would really be appreciated.

I searched our online knowledge base and found an article for blank pages that should help you. If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100
I don't have a picture, but what I remember there is a lever on the front cover that at machine installation must be moved in an other position that can permit the transfer belt lever to move in wright position so the 1st BTR's move to the drums.
Thank you Tammy. That is appreciated. I will give those things a try as soon as I'm able in the next few days. I think I've tried some variant of all these steps though, and all four colours are affected, which makes me think two of the three possibilities are not applicable. Is there a UK number I can use if necessary?
Thank you Gabi. That is helpful. I think I did try adjusting the lever on the cover, but without really understanding what I was doing or how I was adjusting it. I will try and do it properly now.
