I found this article for failed scanning issues on Windows10 that may help you.
My 6180MFP will print but not scan. The model predates the Xerox Print & Scan app, and trying to use the Windows default scanning application or initializing a scan from the printer itself is not successful. Windows does not detect a scanner connected, and I get a timeout error if I try to scan from the machine. It does copy just fine, too, so it's not a feed or document recognition issue. In the Windows printers & scanners list, it shows "Driver is Unavailable," it can't find any drivers to download, and doesn't even recognize the driver if I manually direct it right to the file. (It still prints though!)
I know this hardware is old, but if we could get the scanner working, that would be really helpful! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
