Hi Cheryl, 

 

Initially I need to thank you for the sugestion. Even being an experienced user in relation my printer Xerox 3045ni, I followed the instructions and still not worked for me.
I insist that the cause must be a driver's problem or OSX that is blocking the comunication with the printer to macbook, considering that on another computer with Windows 10 the printer works perfectly.

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for scanning using the USB.  Make sure to follow the steps for the Mac.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Problem Xerox WorkCentre 3045ni-Fax after installation of OS X 10.11 El Capitain

I did a clean install of OSX El Captain (10.11.3) and then could no longer use the function scan to a computer (USB) of my Xerox Workcentre 3045ni-fax.
I've tried using the drivers for OSX El Captain, as well as Yosemite and Maverick drivers (turned off El Capitan’s new System Integrity Protection (SIP)), and none of them recognized this printer function.
When I try to use this function "Scan to Computer (usb) of multifunctional 3045ni often appears the error "017-988" on the unit's display and on mac screen appears the warning "no detected scanner. The scanner is off or the cable is not properly connected. "
On the other hand I can scan if give the command directly by OSX scanning software (unfortunately the choice of feeder or scanner table is done manually, and not automatically as the printer does).
It seems to me that OSX is blocking / preventing the receipt of request scan coming through the USB from Xerox 3045ni  (even appear the progress of the task bar), and then after a few seconds appear the above messages.
I also have a laptop with windows 10 and works perfectly the scan to computer (USB) of Xerox 3045ni on it.
Is possible to solve that?
