Re: Problems reading PDF's scanned with WorkCentre Pro 5765 in Reader X

It was compression issues that was blocking out stuff.

We went through with a support tech (J Parent) and he unselected most compression formats available for scanning except for a few and voila, no more problems.

YES !

We're upgrading the firmware today on three 7556's, the 7655's have no issues.

Partial or complete grey box(es) on PDF's created through this printer...

We've tried everything with support, all the scanning options and with local copies

of Acrobat Pro 7, 9 and X. they've concluded it's a bad PDF Wrapper...

It's not your local copy of Acrobat but the way the printer is creating the PDF !

The temp solve for our Client is to just reprint the PDF to a PDF file from within acrobat...

I'll report back after they update the firmware this afternoon to  "061.121.222.06502"

Problems reading PDF's scanned with WorkCentre Pro 5765 in Reader X

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Has anybody seen this issue?  I've updated two seperate XP SP3 machines with this new version of Adobe Reader X, and some scans will show a dark gray page with some visible text.  The page views AND prints this way.  Some pages will have missing text.  If the exact same PDF is opened in a previous version of Adobe reader, there is no issue with the document.
