Re-cfg. SMTP to use O365: Test Cfg. Works but Scan to Email from Machine Does Not Work

Hi:

Using web browser, I re-cfg. the SMTP on this WorkCentre 7530 to use smtp.office365.com on port 25 with Authenticated User and STARTTLS (if available).  Test Configuration works but from web browser.  However, when users try to scan to email at machine console, machine prints an SMTP Transfer Report showing job failed.

I've also tried on port 587 with same result.

Any insights are greatly appreciated!

PS. I've pasted a screenshot of the SMTP Auth page below.  The only way I can get the Test Cfg. to work is if I select Authenticated User in top section, then enter the user's password in lower section since it grays out the password fields in top section.  I don't get why it grays out the password fields in top section but I guess it uses the password as entered in bottom section?

Try to switch from Authenticated User to System

 

So SYSTEM - SYSTEM

smtp.office365.com

STARTTLS

Port: 587

Authentication on
