Re: Red Line through Scanned Document

Hi!

Are you really sure that the line's exactly the same on both scanning from adf and directly on the glass?

If so I recommend getting an engineer.

Best Regards

Kimzi

There are no lights out according to my user.

Any other suggestions?

Re: Red Line through Scanned Document

While checking the glass do a scan of nothing with the lid in the open position, you can watch the light going and see if one of the LED's is out. If it is, it will need service.

Re: Red Line through Scanned Document

Hi kreese,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please make sure you have cleaned the strip of glass shown on the left below.

If that strip is clean then please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Re: Red Line through Scanned Document

Yes, “feed thru” is the document feeder.

Yes, the line occurs in line with the paper feed direction.

No, it does not happen when it prints. Only when we scan or make copies.

Re: Red Line through Scanned Document

What does "Feed Thru" refer to? Is the first laid on the glass and the 2nd through the Document Feeder?

Does the line occur in line with the paper feed direction or is it oposite?

It looks like an issue with the scan light causing a digital artifact, does this happen on print only or does it also happen on copies?

If it does not happen on copies I would eliminate the light as a possibility and start looking into the scan hardware/software.

So if digital only and copies are fine, how about switching from pdf to Tiff or jpg , does the line disappear or change?

Red Line through Scanned Document

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We just purchased a new Xerox Workcentre 3615, but when we go to scan there is a red line on each document. We have cleaned the scan bed, but the line persists.

Is there any information on how to resolve this?

Scanned documents are attached below: example1.pngexample2.png
