Thanks Fabio, the patch worked great.
I have asked xerox for this and they said they will get back to me, so I'll let you know.
i have some info for you
call xerox and ask for patch : 102735v2
info :
This patch is ONLY used to remove 2 ghost templates found on the machine at install. The first ghost template is named ‘mono’ and the other ‘colour’. Prior to this patch, the only way to remove these templates was to configure a template pool empty folder, point the device to the empty folder and initiate a template update.
BarrieB,
The better way to get those templates removed would have a tech do an alt-boot process on the machine. I am not sure if you are a end user, partner, or other...but your machines shouldn't have any information on them if you are just getting them in. I would recommend having a technican clear the memory of the machine and to do an alt-boot.
Thank you,
Jordan

We have a 5790 and a 5735
what model of machine do you have?
OK, I've tried pointing it to an empty network share and this made no difference, It does not let you leave it blank so I put the letter A in all the fields and this also made no difference. We have a few that arrived like this and like I said we dont use the template pool.
At the moment nothing is configured in it, so do I set it up like standard network scanning to an empty folder?
to remove templates created by a pool , you need to define an empty shared folder in your pool repository, then refresh the templates, it will be blanked then
if the templates are created manually, you can just delete them on the webinterface on the "scan" tab
