You can remove security from an open PDF if you have the permissions to do so. If the PDF is secured with a server-based security policy, only the policy author or a server administrator can change it.

Open the PDF, then select Tools > Protect > Encrypt > Remove Security.
Your options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document:

If you are using email it will be located in CWIS at:
Properties>Services>Email>Setup>Defaults
Click the Edit for the Email Options section
Password protection will be at the bottom
I have the same problem with my 7835. I navigate to this menu, but the option is missing from it. There is no selection for me to change. If anyone kinows how to fix this, please let me know.
