On the web interface page for the 4265 , go to Properties Tab, services, scan to Home, report options, Uncheck Box, save job log (xst) in repository.
Are you by chance using IE 7 or greater? Try utilizing the compatiblity view and see if that resolves your issue.

When I disable the job log and click apply it says enabled. I have a Workcenter 6400X and am logged in as the admin. Any ideas?

Yes. That file is created by the job log. To disable it, go to your Xerox’s IP address on the Internet and log on as admin. Click on the Scan tab. Choose your template or mailbox from the list. Look for the section for report options, and disable job log.
Hello, I'm using the WC 7556. I have set workflow scanning to scan to the network. Everytime I run a scan job, it sends a PDF file, but also sends a .XST file. Is there anyway to prevent the XST file from sending, or maybe send it to another location?
