I helped a coworker today with this exact machine and configuration and the setup now works after updating to the software that I provided in the link. One thing that I forgot to mention is that you need to use Internet Explorer for the configuration to work properly because, if you use any other browser, the SMTP Auth radio button won't stay. Using a browser other than IE you can turn on SMTP Auth but it will always revert to 'None' when you click apply.

Hi Eric,

Please do the following 2 things.

1. Update to the latest System Software for your machine. The version on the website is from 2013 and there's a fix for Gmail authentication issues in a newer version. The latest, and probably last, version is from 2018. Here's a link.

2. Set your encryption method to STARTTLS and not SSL/TLS. SSL/TLS is for SSL comunication, typically on port 465, that is no longer in use by most providers. You may not see STARTTLS as an option until you update to the system software above.

 

On the Gmail side either enabling 'allow less secure apps' if 2 factor authentication is not in use or creating an app specific password if 2FA is in use is all that's required. Your post states that you have that covered already.

SCAN TO MAIL using GMAIL

Product Name: WorkCentre 5325/5330/5335
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Good morning, I want to configure a xerox wc5325 printer but it tells me server error when I want to send an email, I have activated the option of non-secure applications, configuring * ssl / tls with port 587 I don't know what else to do, could you guide me on what else I should look at thanks ps: the firmware version is the last one downloaded from the xerox website
