I have this exact same problem with a brand new 6027, manufactured in October 2017 -- more than a year after this response. Does this feature (using the automatic document feeder for a scan to a WSD) not work? The document feeder works fine for Network scans, but not for WSD.

I don't want to go through the effort of tracking down firmware updates unless you can confirm that the problem was corrected in some release that was made available after the manufacturing date of my device. If the problem is still unsolved, that's inconvenient but I can live with it. But if there is a solution out there, I would like to track it down.

In the user manual of the WC6605DN it says:

To scan to WSD: 1.Load the original on the document glass or in the duplex automatic document feeder.

When i try SCAN TO WSD, IT ONLY WORKS IF PAPER IS PUT ON THE GLASS, THE FEEDER IS NOT TAKING THE PAPER!

When start button is pressed, the scanner on the glass is activated, not the paper in the feeder.

However, scan to usb stick, paper is taken by the feeder well!!!

I hope this can be fixed with a firmware upgrade!?
