SMB Error 031-528 Can't find Server OS 10.14.1 Mojave

Product Name: WorkCentre 6605
Operating System: Other – specify OS in post

Hi everyone, does anyone know if there is a workaround yet for the latest OSX release (10.14.1 Mojave) to avoid the persistent SMB error that I have been getting since several Mac upgrades ago? Many thanks, James
