SMB Scanning WC Pro 238 to Windows 7

latest firmware= x.60.22.120, release next week

i know xerox is changing all other xerox models for scanning to smb for windows 7, because the 238 is not the only one with problems to win7.

but i dont think they will change the 238 because of "old" :-)

but if you dont get it to work, you can always use the ftp protocol instead?

Tanks, fabio, but i don't have eny cluster, i only have a windows 7 pro in a pc.

I try to upgrade de firmware to solve the problem..

if you have any other ideas I can try??

SISTEMAS-PC\scanner

instead of

SISTEMAS-PC/scanner

Customer indicated that they are getting "check user name & or password" error when scanning to SMB Windows server share. They are running sytem software 13.060.22.040.   Another customer is getting "Check user name/password" error when scanning to cluster 2008 server.

=>This issue has been fixed in System Software x.60.22.070 expected to be released mid-December, 2009.

Hello friends,

I have a wc pro 238, I set up the machine for printing and scanning. I was able to get the windows xp to scan to network folder with no problems.

But for  Windows 7 pro and ultimane  The document fails everytime I try to send.

I created a user on the windows 7, gave the user full control rights to the folder as well as read and write permissions.

The scanning still fails everytime. I have the error message User or password is incorrect.

In the configuration of the printer i have this.

Protocol. SMB

IP: 192.168.12.88 : 139

Share "Recurso Compartido: MyScan (this the nafe of the shared folder in win7)

Document Path = this is empty.

Login: SISTEMAS-PC/scanner

Password scanner.

I try with another pc with windows7, and thw wc 5665, and i have the same error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
