Re: SMTP Authentication Bug on newer system software updates

This HAS been seen. If you could contact the 2nd Level Network Support with your Data, we'd very much appriciate it, as we've seen the same information here, and would love any additional Data.

Ask to have a SPAR Created, and ask for the 2nd Level Solutions group.

Thank you.

Re: SMTP Authentication Bug on newer system software updates

Fabio

Back in October 2011 you mentioned a newer Firmware update for THe WC75XX Family: Xerox Workcentre 75xx vs: 61 121 221 27200.

As of today 2-22-12 the Firmware up on the xerox site appears to be OLDER: 061.121.201.09700!!  How can I obtain the version you mentioned, as i may be having an SMTP authentication issue.

SMTP Authentication Bug on newer system software updates

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Has anyone expierenced problems getting Scan-to-Email to work using SMTP Authentication on the newer System Software updates for the ColorQube 92xx, WorkCentre 75xx and WorkCentre 57xx series?  I feel like there is a bug.

Say for example, a WorkCentre 5765 using System Software 061.132.221.22203 .  This added new options for SMTP settings, such as encrytion options and the ability to test your settings on Centreware Internet Services.  It turns out that when I look at the SMTP log (and also Wireshark) when emailing, it is trying to use the SMTP AUTH command, BUT it's not using the same username and/or password that I enter.

Has anyone else had this expierence?
