Re: Scan automatic document feed problem

Hi,

The springs should never goes out. The counter balance should be enclosed. This means, yours is broken.

Re: Scan automatic document feed problem

I have the same problem, I removed the springs from the counterbalance and reinserted it and it works fine.

QUESTION, are the springs supposed to be ENCLOSED in the unit?  I cant seem to get it to lay flat with the springs inserted.

I cant figure out why.  The only logical anser to me is that the small plastic piece at the bottom of the spring may have broken away from the rest of the hinge???

Re: Scan automatic document feed problem

not broken, it claps down tight, but does seem to have some play (left to right) where the plastic feed gears are and the rubber roller pad. It is only misaligns for the first 2 inches and then the print seems fine.

Re: Scan automatic document feed problem

Hi,

Check the left counterbalance (hinge) of the Document feeder, it is possible to be broken.

Scan automatic document feed problem

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 7
When I scan or print using the automatic document feeder on the top, the top of the printed or scanned page is misaligned. Just the first 2 inches. Then the rest of the page prints fine. Does not happen when I print from the flatbed or scan from the flatbed.
