Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

Hi Alan,

It took me awhile, but I figure it out...and not from any instruction manual. You can combine multiple scans into a single PDF at the time of scanning by using the Magazine function (#9) and the Configure Before Scan configuration. Pushing simplex/duplex (I think either works) will pull up the configuration settings window. From there you will push simplex/duplex again to scan your image/document, then repeat until you've scanned all images/documents. When complete, select Done in the configuration settings window and it should create a single PDF file of all images/documents scanned.

Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

Although I've never seen this scanning device in person, if you're connected via USB I would try using NAPS2 (Website Link) . I've found this application very helpful when using a scanner connect via USB. Hope this helps!

bye for now.

Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

I will pay you $100 if you can tell me how to scan multiple pages to a single document from the flatbed AND by just pressing the Simplex button on the scanner - and not using the TWAIN interface.

Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

I appreciate your special attention to this because, as I mentioned, I searched all forums I could find and was unable to find this information.

Your answer appears to resolve part of my question, but not all of it. May I ask you to indulge me in one more answer here -- even though it is the wrong forum?

The instructions you gave set my machine up to expect pages fed through the ADF -- the autofeeder. This is not what I need.

How do I set this up for scanning individual pages from the flatbed glass into a single file?

I do appreciate your special attention to this question. It goes a long way to alleviate my frustration with my attempts to find this information.

Thank you.

Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

Alan,

This forum is for Xerox Printers and Multifunction Printers.  There is a different site that supports scanners.  As a courtesy I have searched the Scanner Knowledgebase and found this solution for you. This solution is on the site the previous responder referred you to.  If this does not answer your question you will have to go to the Xerox Scanner site to request further information.

Sheetfed Scan Multiple Pages in One PDF Windows

Goal:

To scan multiple pages into one pdf file in Windows

Windows:

Step 1: Open OneTouch on the bottom right of your taskbar.

Step 2: If prompted, select the scanner that is connected to your PC.

Step 3: Right click on the Scan icon. (Or Paper In icon for mobile scanners)

Step 4: In the OT properties window, uncheck the box next to "create single image files."

Step 5: Now click on "Edit."

Step 6: Be sure to click on the lock button so that it turns into a key. (If it is already a key, you can skip this step.)

Step 7: Go to the page settings tab.

Step 8: Check the box next to "Manual Feed."

Step 9: You can change the amount of time allowed to feed another paper through to scan it into one PDF in the "Timeout" box.

For example with the setting shown above: You scan one paper, you will have 5 seconds to scan the second paper for it to be added into the same PDF file as the first paper. You will have 5 seconds after every paper scanned.

Step 10: Be sure to hit Apply and OK on every window until you are completely out of the properties pages.

Step 11: When you scan the first page, you will see onscreen a countdown notifying you of the time you have remaining to scan into one PDF.

Supported Operating Systems: Windows 10 / 8 / 7

Re: Scan multiple pages to single file

Amazing! I specifically said that I had already searched your support pages for the answer and was unable to find it.

I specifically asked for you to post the answer here.

Yet, you give me a boilerplate answer that demonstrates a lack of consideration for my request.

I am deeply disapointed.

Please address my question with detail instructions as a response to this post.

Scan multiple pages to single file

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 10

I have a Xerox Duplex combo scanner.

I want to scan individual pages on the glass (without using the document feeder) and have the result accumulate in a single pdf file. How do I do that? Can I do that with the Xerox Duplex Combo Scanner?

Please do not direct me to look it up in a manual. I have searched the help files, the manual, and the xerox knowledge base and found nothing.

Please answer my question here, with detailed description of the steps if possible.

Thank you for your attention to my request.
