Scan set to 600dpi, but file is too small

Product Name: WorkCentre 6655
Operating System: Windows 10

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, so thanks in advance for any help.

I have a Xerox WorkCentre 6655 that I'm using to scan a page that I need to OCR.  Because the text is really small on the page, I'm trying to scan it at 600dpi (highest resolution available on the scanner), but even though I have it set to 600, the resulting PDF comes in pretty small.  684k, and when I open it in Acrobat DC and view at 100%, it still fits entirely on the screen.

I've tried changing other settings-- removed compression, scanned as a picture, text, black and white, grayscale, color... nothing gives me a larger file size.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,
Nick
