Re: Scan to Email - Phaser 6180mfp Invalid 'from' address

Hadeed,

Which SMTP port are you using? Accoding to these directions you need to be using port 2525 or 587 - did you change that on the Xerox device?

Well, according to this document from Xerox Support I do not think your setup will work if they do not use port 25 or a port inbetween 5000 and 65535  - I knew this mobel had something weird.

You may have to have some sort of relay inside your network to connect to and then have it connect to the Network Solutions or contact them to see if you can use port 25.

Thank you,
Jordan

Scan to Email - Phaser 6180mfp Invalid 'from' address

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello, I am having problems setting up a phaser 6180mfp scan to email.

It will scan the document but ends in an error of 016-768  Invalid 'from' address.

I have added email addresses to the address book to eliminate typos.  I have verified the email account as well.  We use that on several other devices that scan to email.

email account is through network solutions

I tried several working email accounts

Scan to PC is working

Printing is working

Any suggestions?

Thank you
