Login as admin, go into email, set build job to On and then click Customize > Save Settings as Default

I am not sure if that is possible. I searched the Knowledgebase and found the DEFAULT SCAN SETTINGS .

Pretty sure this is not possible but thought I would ask just in case. We have a customer with AltaLink C8035's and is requesting that Build Job be enabled by default for all Scan to Email jobs. I've looked over the remote web console and on the device itself and I'm not seeing that this is something you can enable as a default setting. Anyone have an idea if this is the case 100%? I saw an earlier post mentioning it cannot be done for faxing so thinking this would be the same type of thing.
