Re: Scan to Email stopped working in 2022

The problem should be expirated certificate "DST Root CA X3".

Try to install new certificates ISRG Root X1 and ISRG Root X12. The problem is explained here: https://www.stephenwagner.com/2021/09/30/sophos-dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-problems-fix/

Re: Scan to Email stopped working in 2022

Hi there,

I was speaking with ARonNYC on Twitter and here is what he said worked for him:

"I wanted to pass along that the ultimate resolution was to create a gmail address and use that as the “from” address. The technician who helped me, Tina, was wonderful - and she mentioned that she’d helped someone else with a similar situation who was also using a verizon.net email, which now goes through AOL servers. The one pivotal bit that Tina didn’t mention, but which I did eventually find in your knowledge base is that with a gmail address, in addition to using port 587 and TLS, you have to uncheck the Validate Security Certificate (or something similar) box."

Thanks,

Scan to Email stopped working in 2022

Product Name: WorkCentre 3335/3345
Operating System: macOS 11 - Big Sur

My client has this WC 3335 that he basically only uses to scan handwritten pages and email them to his secretary.  It took us forEVER to get scan to email to work in the first place, because Xerox support was all but useless.  Anyhoo....

Now scan to email isn't working.  No particular error message, they just fail.  Nothing has changed.  No updates, no wifi changes, nothing.  But when looking at the scan to email report, I noticed that everything was successful until January 2022.  Tried power cycling, no dice.  Even looked for an updated firmware on this website and couldn't find anything.  Anybody have any ideas?
