Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solutions for the error code 031-528. Make sure that you have checked any new firewalls that may have been applied to the new server.  If these solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Scan to Network WorkCenter 6505N

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a WorkCenter 6505N. It has been configured to scan to a shared windows server 2012 R2 folder. But it fails to scan and save the file on a shared server location.

 

This It was working fine until we got a new server.

 

The configuration:

WorkCenter 6505N

IP: 192.168.45.243

 

Name (Displayed on Printer):
Server Type:Computer (SMB)
Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name):
Port Number:(139, 445, 5000 ~ 65535)
Login Name (if required by host):
Login Password:
Re-enter Password:
Name of Shared Directory:
Subdirectory Path (optional): 

 

I'm able to browse \\192.168.45.100\Scans

 

Server config:

Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials

IP: 192.168.45.100

 

Share: \\192.168.45.100\Scans

Share perissions - Everyone - full access

NTFS permissions - Everyone -full access

 

Ports 139 and 445 are open on server's firewall.

 

I get an error on screen:

SMB Error -Server not found Error 031-528

Job History:

Send To Computer  CancelledScan0

It doesnt work if I pu down the username and password I have created aswell.

 

Please help!
