Hi matwhite,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. From the Compatability matrix for the Mac 10.8 and 10.9 drivers it states that:
"Scan Driver Compatibility with Mac OS X 10.8
Some scan functionality is diminished in Mac OS X 10.8. In particular, scanning via the SMB protocol is no longer supported due to architectural changes in Mac OS X 10.8. Please continue to visit Xerox.com/drivers periodically for updates regarding enhancements to scan drivers that address this change."
This compatibility issue is the same in the Mac OS X 10.9. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
Hello,
We've had a Scan to Network set up for a while to so that scans output from our WorkCentre 6605N go to a shared folder on my Colleague's Mac which was running OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
However, the Mac has now been upgraded to OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) and now 'Scan to Network' no longer works. The printer reports "SMB Error 031-528: Unable to connect to SMB Server".
I have checked:
* file sharing is on, permissions on the share folder are set to Read&Write
* other macs on the network can access smb://192.168.1.53 (the correct local address for the mac) with no problems
* firewall is off
* correct username and password specified in CentreWare internet services
* the Mac can ping the server, no problem
Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be?
Many thanks,
Mat
