Currently having an issue with the file path for our scan to server share.
Destination should be - S:\Public\!Scan
The current setup is below
This is the current error when running a test scan
If i change the \Scan to S:\Public\!Scan it doesnt even get past the destination server test.
Any help greatly appreciated.
It seems the pictures wont load if any one can help could they message me.
Its - D:\Ships Share\T\__Operational\Public\!Scan
Even if i change the document path to the above it still doesnt seem right when doing the document test.
If I remove the "Scan" at the start it immediatly fails before the write test.
Thanks for your help.
James, please refer to my earlier post asking for the share name as listed in “Computer Management” (see my screen cap above).
I’ll assume the share is "Ships Share". Assuming that, this is the correct structure:
Unfortuantly its still failing.
I tried \T\__Operational and T\__Operational.
I also tried a physical workflow scan to Ships share and in displays invalid file path on the screen.
These are the details of the XST
These steps will verify the access and folder permissions (within Windows):
How-To Test Login to SMB Share from Command Prompt
*Use a workstation other than the one hosting the share*
To see if you can login to the share, map a drive, k in this example:
If testing a local user
net use k:(space)\\server\share(space)/user:server\username(space)*
If testing a domain user
net use k:(space)\\server\share(space)/user:Domain\username(space)*
(NOTE: placing the asterisk at the end of the string means that it will prompt for the password of the user)
To see if you can Read, Write,Delete:
Change to the mapped drive by typing k:
List the contents of the share: dir
See if you can write to the share: mkdir (directory_name)
Confirm that the new directory was created: dir
Delete the directory you created: rmdir (directory_name)
Confirm that the directory was deleted: dir
To disconnect (unmount) the mapped drive:
net use k:(space)/delete
Really struggling to get this working and I know its going to be something so silly. Originally the "!Scan" file which is where the copies would go had disappeared so I restroed the file from a previous folder version and checked the groups/permissions and its all ok. Its in the domain users group with full read and write permissions for the sub folders to where its located.
On the xerox web browser under Scan>Create new workflow> we have "Scan to ships share.XST" which is exisiting. I then edit the file destination which orignally under "document path" just had "\" so im not sure If i even need to add the "T\__Operational\Public\!Scan" as unless the Xerox lost this setting it was never like this.
Either way with "\" or the full file path it still fails at "File Write Test"
