Re: Scan to Synology NAS with Bound Ethernet Ports - Error

Is the Synology directly connected to your router or a managed switch? If you haven’t done so, link aggregation needs to be set on both the NAS and the network appliance. I have this setup at home and have no issues scanning with an old Workcentre 6605

Scan to Synology NAS with Bound Ethernet Ports - Error

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Not Specified

My Synology NAS has the ability to bind its two Ethernet ports together. Mid December I configured this, and since then my Versalink C405 has been unable to send scanned documents to the NAS. Has anyone else seen this?

Using SMB with known user-id and passwords and using a similar folder structure, I can scan to my PC, I can scan to another NAS (another, but older, Synology NAS on the same network), but can no longer scan to the Synology NAS with bound Ethernet ports.

This may be a coincidence, but I don't think so. It's a very specific issue and I'd like to know if anyone else has experienced this issue.

When I connect to the Synology NAS, I get an "unexpected communications error" and "cannot browse at this time". If I do try and scan something, I generally get an 018-755 or 018-547 error.

Make sense to anyone?! :)

Cheers.

Steve.
