No. Los campos tienen el UID/PSW de una persona que puede mandar e-mail a travez del SMTP server. Yo escribi mi direccion de e-mail y PSW.

Fixed it...See image below:

By default the "Authenticated User" is selected. These two fields go hand in hand in order to send scans via e-mail. One has to select "System" for automated emails AND the Walk-up user's login credentials (last field on image) be the same as the "System". Not sure what it was sending for the UID/PSW to our SMTP server since no detailed log was produced.

Scan to e-mail 7755 workcentre (fails)...please someone help!

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

After two days trying to get this thing to scan to e-mail I have finally thrown in the towel. So, I'm asking for help. This is my configuration:

-Xerox 7755 with software version 061.090.220.19700.

-SMTP server is outside our network (smtp.company.com hosted by Network Solutions) and does not require SSL/TLS for communication. Thus, the configuration is for "host name". I'm using my own UID/PSW to submit the e-mails to the recipients. I know for a fact that those credentials work.

-TCP/IP is configured to use our internal DNS and Google's public (8.8.8.8) DNS. It should definately find the SMTP address via one of those DNS services (hey, if it didn't our own internal e-mail wouldn't work at all!).

This thing fails w/o much information other than "Jobs Status: FAILED"---not much help. I have gone up/down the machine's admin panel to find an internal log that will tell me exactly where the failure is but I can't find it. Can someone tell me where I can find more detailed information about the error. I know that once I see it, I can fix the problem. Thank you much.

Sincerely,

Antonio C.
