Scan to email and fax connection issue

Hello everyone,

I am currently having an issue with the machine at my new job. I am unable to scan to email. When I click on the icon it says the app in not configured and to go to Device > Apps to complete the configuration but in the Device tab there is no option for Apps. Also, I am unable to operate the fax option. I looked at the user guide and it did mention something about connecting it by Wi-Fi, ethernet or USB but I'm not sure how to check how it's connected. Please help!
