Scan to email - is it possible to get it working at all?

Hi everyone,

I know I may be 1000th person to be asking this question, but I have been searching for an answer for a while now - unfortunately, to no avail :(

Namely, I know that emails cannot be sent to gmail anymore. However, I was hoping I could do that via Hotmail which I would use as an intermediary service to forward scans to my gmail inbox.

The firmware I have been using is the latest one available on Xerox website (60.006.06.000) and I can't seem to be able to set up the latest security requirements imposed by Google, ever since they have stopped using smtp.

This would solve so many of the issues I am having right now.

Also, I am too stupid to setup scan to folder on my laptop via wifi, which could be an alternative, but the scan to email would be the much, much preferred option.

FreshZil,

Please follow this link to a post on setting up scan to gmail.  There is a downloadable "How to" document supporting the setup process.
