thanks a lot Joe for your help, i go to use the wireshark before chequing the time and date it's the last solution maybe and i give you the end result for this issue ;-D
best regards
Then you will need to contact the people running the VPN or do a Wireshark trace to see what's up. I can't just guess at the issue.
Typically it could be
Time/Date
DNS
Gateway
Proxy
In that order, last would be a firmware upgrade. But:
If firmware was the problem it would not have worked before your side made the change, same goes for time/date, so they are out.
That leaves DNS/Gateway/Proxy, but the 8.8.8.8 got rid of that too.
So Gateway/Proxy, and of course you have a VPN/Firewall, which is firmly your end and I can't at all begin troubleshooting that. Best bet is to have someone good at Networking do a Wireshark trace.
i've changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 but i get the same issue.
Then check your DNS servers, to eliminate any issue there make 8.8.8.8 the primary DNS address
Thanks a lot Mr Joe053204-xrx for your explaination .So, i mean by static IP the the IP address set by the internet provider ( maroc telecom, france telecom, free.....)like : 43.212.190.176 not DHCP for internal use, so here i talk about dynamic IPs & static not DHCP.
thanks in advance
Static vs DHCP has no relation assuming they put the right settings in.
The VPN will be a big one though, only way to know for sure is through a Wireshark trace or both setups then compare the 2 and find the failure. No point looking at firmware since it works when they are not using the VPN.
Hi all,
I'm a new one on Xerox forum from Xerox Morrocco, and i need your help about scan to email using gmail server on new xerox mfds.
before on XWC7220 the scan to email works correctly using gmail smtp but after th customer has set a static IP to use a VPN on his office.
