Scan to network share

Thank you, this does not answer my question. The answer should basically be a yes or no (possibly separate for FTP and SMB). I already found this article. it mentions neither. It may have been a good idea for me to put FTP and SMB in the subject.

In the WorkCentre 3025NI, is it possible to send scanned images to a network share (SMB or FTP), using the scan button on the device, with a Linux computer? Else, can some other way of sending the scans over the network to a Linux device be used?

All my PCs run Linux (including the one that serves as a NAS, serving SMB and FTP shares), but which PC is providing the network share via a standard protocol shouldn't really matter.

It's just that in the user manual, detailed instrcutions are listed for scanning to a network folder in the Windows and in the MacOS section, like so:

Scan to Network PC
Make sure that your machine is connected to a network. Make sure the scan driver has been installed
and scan has been enabled. For instructions, see Installation and Setup.
1. Press Scan on the control panel.
2. Scan to PC appears in the user interface. Press OK.
3. Press the up/down arrows to select Network PC.
4. Press OK. If you see the Not Available message, check the connection and/or setup.
5. In the Destination List that appears, press the up/down arrows to find the name of the computer
that you want to receive the scan and press OK

However, these instructions are missing in the Linux section, hence I'd like to make sure here if that works if the destination PC is Linux as well.
