Yes it is a normal behaviour. Clear all paper and any foreign substances from the DADF paper path. If the fault persists, replace the DADF assembly.

it doesnt look broken, should it just dangle and not be attached to anything?

Hi,

Check the DADF sensor actuator if is broken

Hi  I have a paper jam message with fault code 005-098 but there is no paper and I have cleaned the sensor but still getting same message.

Scanner Jam

Product Name: VersaLink C405 Color Multifunction Printer
Operating System: Windows 10

I am using the scanning function on the Versalink c405. One day it was fine, the next day the app is giving me an error message about a paper jam in the scanner. I cannot clear the error message. There is no jam on the scanner. Neither glass nor document feeder scanning are working. My warranty has expired because the machine was purchased 18 months ago. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
