This has also happened to my Versalink C7020; it was scanning fine to email, but has stopped working. I'm on the latest firmware version (Current Version: 57.69.91) so far as I know.
Is there somewhere where we can download updated (SSL) certificates to replace the ones on the machine, to see if that cures the problem? I've read that the factory-installed ones may have expired over the past few months.
Who provided you with those server settings? Do you have your own domain with e-mail or just using the free service of Hotmail?
