Re: Scanning bound material - 7556 or 5655

I have thoroughly searched the support material with no success. I will try to contact Xerox directly then.

Best regards

Scanning bound material - 7556 or 5655

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

I wonder if there is an easy way to scan bound material (notebooks, book chapters, old corporate brochures) with our Xerox machines - we have both 7556s and 5655s.

There is a fairly simple procedure to copy books and bound material with these machines. They are able to detect multiple pages and print each of them on a separate sheet of paper. I thought it would be the same for scanning, but I have been trying for a couple of days to scan my notes and put them on my tablet and it seems impossible to get one page per PDF page. Either I get the two pages facing each other (which makes the file virtually unreadable on my tablet) or I have to specify a custom scan area and then scan the whole notebook twice, then collate the two PDFs page by page. I can also cut the bindings of my notebooks and put them in document feeder, but this would be the last resort because it makes the originals unusable.

I am pretty sure there is a proper way to scan bound material with these machines. I have never confronted this kind of limitation with them. I appreciate your help.
