Re: Scanning from VersaLink B405 to Smb Windows Server 2012 R2

Hi IT_srh,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please review the steps for setting up SMB scanning. Also please review the solution for server timeout when scanning to SMB.  If you have followed all those steps and still can't scan please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Scanning from VersaLink B405 to Smb Windows Server 2012 R2

Product Name: VersaLink B405 Multifunction Printer

Hello,

we bought a new Xerox printer for our company. Now we and the support company have problems to setup the Scan-to-smb function. We have an old Workcentre 7435 in the same network scanning to the share "Files", wich works perfectly fine. We used the same credentials and settings in our new printer VersaLink B405 (with the newest Firmware we found 38.10.91). Our server is a Windows 2012 R2 Server (Smb Version 1 and 2 are enabled. Supports also 3.02).

When I try to scan a document the printer runs into a timeout. On the share I can see a *.lck directory and a file with 0 KB. The Server show this message in the event log:

Reopen failed.

Session ID: 0x1100610000701
Share Name: Files
File Name: Scan\lh\Xerox Scan_17072017132517.PDF
Resume Key: {00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000}
Status: Object Name not found. (0xC0000034)
RKF Status: STATUS_SUCCESS (0x0)
Durable: true
Resilient: false
Persistent: false
Reason: Reconnect durable file

The client attempted to reopen a continuously available handle, but the attempt failed. This typically indicates a problem with the network or underlying file being re-opened.

Could anyone give me a hint or a solution? If I missed some Informationen tell me.

Thanks

Best regards

SRH
