That worked! However I was able to do it without using the IP Address. Windows gave me the driver on it's own. If it wouldn't have gone to it on its own, I was also able to navigate through the disk and find the scanner driver which was a .inf file. I forgot that I had to restart my computer as it does not prompt you to do so. Thanks again for the help
You also have to go into the web interface for the device as an admin. Add the service to the display so Network Scanning or Workflow Scanning can be selected at the printer. I hope this helps. I just got this working and went through so many steps I'm not sure I could duplicate them. A network share has to be configured in the web interface as well. In Templates maybe. Depending on your device when you start the scan from the printer you have to enter login credentials. On one of our devices we need to put the domain and username domainname\userloginname. On the other device we just need the userloginname. I think it might be how the template is set up but I can't find the differences.
I had to download the twain driver for my WC. Then in WIndows 7 (didn't work at all in 8.1) I clicked on the start button then typed in Scanners. In the search results I picked View Scanners and Cameras. Then I clicked on Add Scanner and followed the prompts. You need either the IP address or host name of the printer. The computer required a reboot. Then I was able to scan to the PC.
Hello again!
My company owns 2 Xerox 6015NI devices and we love both of them. My boss just got one to put in his office. He would like to be able to initiate a scan FROM his computer but we cannot seem to figure out how to.
I just want to clarify, we already have the devices set up to scan to our remote server, and we know how to scan from the 6015NI to the computer, but as I stated, he wants to be able to initiate the scan from his computer without having to do it from the Device.
I have not been able to figure it out myself. I noticed that My PC (both of us using windows 7) doesn't even detect it as a scanner. Is there a way to do this? If so, where can I find the software?
