Scanning issue

My company resently replaced a workcentre 7235 with a 7835 at a oil well company.  Our customer has to scan and copy 11inch circle charts every month (over 200 of them).  The 7235 works great at doing this, but the 7835 scans the chart thru so far and stops. At first it was thought that it was jamming but it isn"t. The doc feeder doesn't like the charts.  The firmware is up to date.we tried back dating the firmware, but that didn't work either.  I've reduced the image to 75% and changed the orginal size to 11x17.  These were the settings that was in the wc7235.  I'm pretty sure this copier will do what I need it to do, but I 'm not sure of the settings to use.  Is their a nvm setting that I need to change, that will tell the doc feeder to scan the chart?  Also if you lay the chart on the glass it copies it perfectly no issues, using the reduction size and rrginal size 11x17.
