My thanks for the sugestion and indication of relevant articles. The problem has now been resolved (not by myself) by fixing the IP address.
Hello GeoffB,
I searched our online knowledge base and found these article for you to look at.
If you are still having issues after trying these steps, I suggest that you call into our support department for assistance @ 1-800-821-2797.
My new C235 was operating fine until recently when we experienced some problems with the Wi Fi in the house.
These involved several devices losing connctions and may have been due to an overload caused by several visitors PCs etc seeking simultaneous access.
Be that as it may the C235 lost connection at that time but communication was restored to the extent of supporting the print function.
However the scanning dialogue, which was available from the printer's icon on the task bar, is no longer showing.
Attempting to scan from the printer's console returns a message <no destinations available> and refers the hapless user to the system administrator. Would that there was such a being!
I can find no help on any means of creating destinations. Can this indeed be done?
I am guessing that this present problem is the result of some local networking problem and would welcome guidance on how to diagnose and correct this.
I am also wondering whether a switch from what I believe is a wireless connection to a cable connection between the C235 and the PC would provide a sounder connection.
Grateful for all ideas
GeoffB
