You do not need to change the login method except to run the test destination thing.

 

Scan to is just done through the address boook, test it at the printer after creation or use the Remote control panel instead.

In order to use this feature do I have to change the Login Method to Validate on the Network?

Or should I be able to do this with the Login Method set to validate on the device?

 

I tried setting this up the other day using Workflow Scanning under one of the printer users and kept getting a login error. I used one of the support videos as reference. There is a button in the printer web interface to test the destination and it was disabled and said I needed to change the Login Method. This why I am asking. Today I plan to try and setup the Scan To feature, but thought I should maybe ask, as I really do not want to change the login method if I don't need to.
