Re: Scanning to network folder not working after disabling smbv1 on servers

Yes i looked it up and saw that it should support both smb v1 and v2 . I checked the fileshare and smbv2 is enabled on there as well.

I clicked on the link you provided and the printer already has that firmware installed on it but i went ahead and installed it again anyways and i am still get the same issue. getting a log in error when trying to scan, saying it cant connect to smb server.

when i look at the setting for the printer on the webpage under properties. in the cofig for smb client for smb protocol it only give me the option to slect either smbv1 or *auto, which was already set to *auto.

Re: Scanning to network folder not working after disabling smbv1 on servers

According to this document, Xerox Product SMB Supported Versions, the WC6605 should support SMB v2. If you have SMB v2 enabled and it does not work, I suggest you download the latest Firmware to see if it fixes you issue. There is a newer version that what yout have on the Xerox.com/support site, Drivers & Downloads - WorkCentre 6605 - Windows 10 x64 - Xerox

Scanning to network folder not working after disabling smbv1 on servers

Product Name: WorkCentre 6605
Operating System: Windows 10 x64
Due to security reasons we have disabled smbv1 on all servers, Now we have a director with a Xerox workcentre 6605 printer in their office that uses it to scan daily but now get a smb log in error when trying to scan. Here is the current printer information below Printer Model: WorkCentre 6605DN Printer Serial Number: XL3588754 Controller Version: 201604180657 Boot Version: 201206111739 Engine Version: 02.00.01 Network Version: 19.83 Does the printer just need firmware updated? does the scan configuration need any editing like the port number? i know this printer supports smbv2, will it still work even with smbv2 disabled?
