How long should the update take?
The tool says it's done, but the printer still gives the following message:
"An authorized user makes changes to this device, please wait ..."
For 10 minutes.
It is the firmware a .bin file? I can not install it on the Mac. I now download the upgrade utilities for mac from the Xerox homepage. Is that correct?
A login failure tends to be a login failure assuming you are on current firmware, which is in the link I provided

I changed my username. However, if I put a contact I get the error message that the username or password are wrong.
For email, change the Validation Type to On Device
I assume the scan to SMB fails with a login failure, try creating a user account (and password) with no spaces.
And update the firmware
Hello dear community,
I have a new Workcentre 6515. I am really excited, but I find the setup very difficult.
I get the scanning by mail and via SMB not set, although I did everything as described in the manual.
I hope you can help me. Operating System is a Mac with High Sierra.
