Are you using the USB scanning utility to retrieve your scans or the Network scanning option?
Also make sure you are using the latest software from www.xerox.com/support found here: http://www.support.xerox.com/support/phaser-6180mfp/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=win7x64&file...
Note: Make sure you select the correct operating system and language.
Are you located in Africa?

Unfortunately this does not work, I have the pdf format by default on the machine, but still when I use the Scan function from the computer, I just have the options mentioned in my first message.

I am using a 6180MFP and I use the scan often.
I launch the scan from my computer but in the scan menu I do not have the option pdf on the scroll down menu for the file type. Only BMP, JPG, PNG and TIF
Does somebody know how to get the pdf option in the printer menu?
