Re: Setting Up Home Network Scanning - Mac & PC

Hi again!

If the WAN works with the current settings you should not change anything, as the WAN is the way out/in from ur home network, you should not set the printer to have the same settings.

If you'r computer is connected to the same router, you can easily check what settings you have on ur computer by typing IPCONFIG /all in CMD.

Best Regards

Re: Setting Up Home Network Scanning - Mac & PC

Sadly that didn't work.

Heres how I have it set up so far:

I'm using a D-Link DIR-166 Wireless Router

I have the ethernet cable plugged into the WC4150 which is plugged into one of the ports on the DIR-166

The router sees the printer but won't connect.

I tried entering all the IP into the WC4150 from the guide you linked with the info listed on the DIR-166 WAN setup screen.

The WAN on the DIR-166 is set up as a DCHP Client as well. So maybe thats the reason? If so shouldn't it just pick up the connection with the WC4150? I'm a little lost but determined!

What Im looking to do is add the WC4150 to my home network so I can use it to print and scan documents.

Hey you!

It depends on ur home network, but HERE is a guide on how to configure TCP/IP without DHCP.

Setting Up Home Network Scanning - Mac & PC

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I'm trying to setup my Workcenter 4150 to my home network and I'm not quite sure how to do this.

I can't seem to load the Webservices by typing in the IP but it won't load so it seems I can't setup my network scanning...which is the main reason.

Is there a simple step by step procedure I can follow to do this from plugging in the Ethernet Card to getting the network scanning running?
