Simple Question Regarding SMB Scanning with a WorkCentre 3615

Product Name: WorkCentre 3615

So our scans usually go through without a hitch.  the setup is correct, the folder is correct and our users can see the network drive where it's being scanned to the server.  However, once in a while a scanned document/s will not appear in the folder.  It will sit in lala land until the lady that uses it scans with nothing on the glass (blank space) and THEN the previous item/s will appear on the network. 

 

What could be causing this?
